What is Environmental Stress?
The last few hundred years have seen profound transformations
in our physical environment. Development for housing and transport
has caused extreme disturbances to the natural landscape.
The explosion in communications technology has introduced
electro-magnetic fields that permeate our bodies. These changes
have destroyed the balance of natural forces in the home and
the workplace, causing environmental stresses that affect
our health. These stresses fall within three categories; geopathic,
electro-magnetic and geopsychic.
Geopathic stress is caused by distortions in the earth's
structure which may arise from man-made or natural changes
to the landscape. Recent extensive land development has caused
major disturbances, but another cause, which has been recognised
for thousands of years, is natural movement within the earth's
structure.
Electro-magnetic stress is caused by power-induced
electrical appliances and installations. It covers a vast
electro-magnetic spectrum including frequencies used for radar,
radio, and microwave.
Geopsychic stress is caused by negative throught patterns.
These set up resonances, affecting both buildings and land,
which may persist for hundreds of years unless cleared.
Research in the UK, Europe, and the USA shows that these
environmental stresses can trigger or aggravate health problems
such as insomnia, depression, learning difficulties, allergies,
headaches, ME, MS and cancer.
